welcome to the world of maddie gabhart! i am a designer, photographer, and occasional madwoman. i started by running through kentucky hills in bare feet and clip on earrings. i haven’t stopped running since. i’ve always known i wanted to make things, i just couldn’t pick what. so i didn’t.

i illustrate my stories of whimsy, design clothing and books, and photograph pretty things. but I started all of this by drawing in creek beds while i had more bug bites than teeth. my hands are covered in graphite more often than dirt now. my eyes are in a viewfinder, my nose is in a book, and my head is in the clouds.

now hailing from the heart of columbus, ohio, i weave stories of enchantment and intrigue into a tapestry of illustration, photography, and the written word. my work seeks to celebrate the extraordinary found within the everyday, and is a testament to the boundless creativity that flows from chaos.
